MINDFUL NUTRITIONal Therapy

After years of suffering from mental health problems, along with a history of family mental health issues, owner Kate Marshall was finally able to get healthy through therapeutic nutritional ketosis—a diet that has been studied for more than 100 years.

Wanting to help support others with similar mental health struggles, Kate set out to create Mindful Nutritional Therapy. She obtained her Nutritional Therapy Practitioner certification through the Nutritional Therapy Association and is now using her knowledge to help others. “I believe that what we eat is the most important factor in our mental and physical health.”

Since I was a little girl, I suffered from fatigue, anxiety, panic attacks, brain fog, and more. It got progressively worse as I got older, and after I had my second baby, I realized I was unable to be the mom I wanted to be—I was struggling mentally and physically. I felt like I was letting my family down.

I tried traditional medicine but kept being told the same story: that it was “normal” to feel this way. With each doctor visit, the solution was to put me on more medications, yet no one EVER talked about my diet. When I didn't feel better, the solution was to change or increase each dose. Wanting a better way, I started my wellness journey with a functional doctor. While it took a few tries to get to the root of my problems, I finally began to see an improvement.

After a long road, I came across two psychiatrists who implement nutritional ketosis to treat mental health. I studied their books, researched their approach, and decided to try it myself. Not only did my symptoms improve and nearly disappear, I felt calm, peaceful, joyful, and clear-minded. I stopped having afternoon fatigue—I had energy!—and I finally became the mom I wanted to be.
